RoHS Auditing
"Member States shall ensure that, from 1 July
2006, new electrical and electronic equipment put on
the market does not contain lead, mercury, cadmium,
hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE). National
measures restricting or prohibiting the use of these
substances in electrical and electronic equipment which
were adopted in line with Community legislation before
the adoption of this Directive may be maintained until
1 July 2006." - European Union Directive 2002/95/EC.
PCA modules contain a variety of materials, some
of which may be on the restricted substance list.
It is necessary to analyze the PCA each to determine
if Br,
Cr, Cd, Pb or Hg are present when paperwork in not adequate.
More analyses
may be needed if Br or Cr is detected, as only
certain forms of these elements are banned.
Quantitative
analysis may be needed if Pb, Hg or Cd is detected
We
will analyze your PCB or PCA to ensure that it is
RoHS compliant. IAL uses mechanical, chemical, and
dry deprocessing methods to obtain the results you
desire. |
